I stumbled into a perfect opportunity to have my first visit to Sun 'n Fun as the daughter wanted join her bestie at a take a trip to the Orlando theme parks during spring break. While they were checking out Disney World, I headed over to the airshow.
The first day was spent getting my bearings and generally just soaking up all the aviation, new planes, old planes, fast plane, slow planes, they were all there. Whether you are a warbird aficionado or simply looking for the newest gadget, there is something for everyone to see.
While I did not get to meet everyone that I had hoped, I did manage to mark a few of the list. The two things I really wanted to experience was the Red Baron dogfight, and watch Julie Clark perform on her farewell tour. She did not disappoint.
Saturday was the family day at the show, and everyone had great fun, much to my surprise my daughter has now expressed an interest in flying. Guess it is time to schedule an introductory flight for her!
